Girona Art Museum

The Girona Art Museum is a museum founded in 1976 and located in the building of the Episcopal Palace of Girona, next to the cathedral. The museum offers chronological art from Girona through successive periods and styles: Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Realism, Modernism and Noucentisme. There are also monographic rooms dedicated to ceramics, glass and the art of the Catholic liturgy, as well as temporary exhibition rooms. The main collections are the medieval ones, of which the Portable Ara of Sant Pere de Rodes stands out.

The Art Museum also manages the heritage site of the Old Hospital of Santa Caterina, which contains one of the best-preserved pharmacies on the continent.
